On 30th November 2024, the Padala Charitable Trust (PCT) team conducted the Book Club & Speakers Club at APSW Lovakothuru (Boys) as part of the School of Excellence (SOE) Programme. This initiative was supported by Mr. & Mrs. Bapuji K of TECHGENE Solutions (India and USA).
The Book Club aimed to foster the habit of regular reading and expose students to diverse books across various genres. This encouraged intellectual curiosity, improved comprehension and strengthened student's ability to analyze themes, characters and key messages. Group discussions during the sessions facilitated peer learning, critical thinking and the development of communication skills. These interactions empowered students to articulate their thoughts effectively while boosting confidence.
The Speakers Club focused on building public speaking skills by offering students opportunities to practice expressing their ideas in front of an audience. Through regular participation, students developed confidence, clarity and the ability to overcome stage fright, preparing them for real-world communication challenges. These sessions also emphasized teamwork, active listening and leadership, equipping students with vital life skills.
