Thanks for organizing the interaction with Unnathi students with Educate Forward Board members despite my initial hesitation. The thing that surprised me the most is how articulate the students were in expressing their struggles. This requires a lot of courage and maturity. I was reflecting on this after the meeting and feel that one of the main contributors is probably the excellent job PCT did in creating a safe space for students to express their feelings and opinion. Through Project Vaaradhi, we are able to sponsor 50 single parent and no parent children from government high schools in our native villages, by providing them with basic needs at school and home, medical support, motivation and counseling and guidance needed to realize the children's true potential. The staff of PCT have done an excellent job in accomplishing these objectives. Through Project Unnathi, we are able to provide financial assistance to 6 girls who excel in academics but cannot afford higher education. They are pursuing college education in various disciplines like Engineering, Pharmacy, Horticulture and Pre-medicine throughout Andhra Pradesh.
