PCT in its continued efforts to collaborate with district administration and Women and Child Welfare department has started meeting the concerned authorities to brainstorm on the collective efforts to make Kakinada district a child-safe district.
PCT and WCD will be working together for better reach of our awareness programs on Child Sexual Abuse (CSA), POCSO Act and Child Marriages. There will be mandal level teams set up in each mandal and trained by PCT as part of TTT (Train The Trainer) program.
Capacity Building Programs have also been carried out for PCT Team on JJ Act, POCSO Act and other Child Protection guidelines by Smt. Padmavathi, Senior Advocate & Former Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
Child Safety has to be a non-negotiable priority for everyone especially those who work for and work with children - Schools, Tuition Centers, Hostels, Jr. Colleges, Child Care Centers, Hospitals, Orphan Homes etc.
