The Kakinada district administration, in collaboration with the Padala Charitable Trust (PCT), has started actively working to make the district a child sexual abuse-free zone. The PCT's 'Swecha for Little Birds' (SFLB) program, which has already reached 25,000 children in several districts of Andhra Pradesh, is being expanded to cover more schools in other districts as well. Kakinada, East Godavari, West Godavari, Konaseema, and Eluru districts.

Key points of the SFLB program:
1. Children from grades 2 to 7 are educated about personal safety, safe and unsafe touch, safety rules, the POCSO Act, and internet safety.
2. The district administration is organizing workshops to train master trainers who will educate parents and school staff at the grassroots level.
3. Make schools, colleges, and homes safer for children.
4. Zero Tolerance on Child Sexual Abuse. SFLB program was launched in September 2022 and since then we have reached out to 25,000 children in 150+ schools across AP.
5. With the help of the District Education Department and Kakinada Sea Ports Limited (KSPL) and APPS Associates the program hopes to reach 100,000 children in next 2 yrs.
6. We are also grateful to the officers of the Education Department at school level (Headmasters), Mandal (MEOs), District (DEO & RJD) and State level (SPD and CSE).
