On 12th November 2024 we visited Salipeta Girls High School, Kakinada to interact with the girls from 8th, 9th and 10th classes.
Close to 200 girls were sensitized on several topics in Personal Safety Education which included private body parts, safe and unsafe touch, safety rules, bullying, supporting system and internet safety. The girls were very interactive and asked several questions about the topic. They also promised they will help their siblings and nearby children to get a better understanding of Personal Safety Education.
As these are adolescent girls, almost 60 minutes were spent in discussing MHM (Menstrual Hygiene Management), Reproductive Health, gender sensitization, child marriages, emotional changes during adolescence etc.
